About Rodney Wise

Rodney Wise, one of the "Wise Men" as we say here at the store, graduated in 1977 from Shongaloo High School, and in 1980 Graduated from LA Tech with an associate degree in Business Technology.  He has worked for Builder’s Lumber and Supply in Springhill for 18 years, and also has spent 13 years as a carpenter. We should mention here that Rodney is a certified locksmith!  Rodney has been the music director at Forest Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Walker’s Creek, Arkansas for the last 15 years, where he has been a member for the last 24 years.  He likes Dixie Youth Baseball, which he has umpired for 22 years.  He has coached Baseball and Softball for 15 years.  Rodney also enjoys road trips, canoeing, the LSU Tigers, the LA Tech Bulldogs, the Cowboys, the Saints, the Broncos, the Rangers, and the Astros. Next time we may just list what sports teams Rodney doesn’t like. Rodney loves to help people solve unique problems at the store, and he is very good at it.  He also loves helping people build their new homes.  When we gave Rodney a category called, “Funny events at work,” he simply responded with, “Elmore!”  Rodney has two children and two step children.  He has one grandson Ace that he gets to see pretty often.  Ace likes sleeping on Rodney’s roof, and so far he has not rolled off.  Rodney’s wife Kathy has been his best friend for 24 years!  Rodney’s quote, “I am more intelligent than most people realize; some people are intimidated by smart people, so I try to just blend in.”
