Gary Boucher, our general manager, while attending the Orgill Expo in Boston last August was checking out a specialized tool used in installing drywall seen at a vendor’s booth.  Impressed with the versatility of the device he asked the price.  Sticker shock followed when told it was to retail for around $450.  Explaining to the vendor that it would be a hard sell to our customers, he responded, “Rent it!”  This started Gary thinking that not only was this a good idea, but why stop with one specialized tool?  After taking a long hard look at the Springhill market for tool rental, he realized this should be a win-win for both our customers and B&S Home Centers.  The new Tool Rental Center is expected to open in late January or early February of 2018 and will have numerous tools that can be rented by the hour, day, or even longer.  We will announce the opening with fanfare, so keep watching for the dates.
